Update: Sears is now closed. They closed at some point in early October 2012.

I was surprised to see the bright red and yellow store closing signs in the Sear’s windows. I was recently in Chicago so I can’t pinpoint when the sale began. I did a bit of research and to my surprise, the online articles were all dated March 12th! This has been known for quite some time. The articles mentioned Sears would also close its Chinook Centre store in Calgary and its Rideau Centre store in Ottawa.
 
I’ve shopped at Sears because they carry Calvin Klein. They’ve also recently started selling Jay Manuel’s Attitude collection. I’ll head there tomorrow to see what’s left.
