If you’ve followed my Photoblog then you know I’m not a fan of black on black outfits. They should be reserved for Ninjas, Navy Seals and bouncers. Everyone else should have color in their wardrobe. However that’s not to say I won’t make an exception. Today was such a day.
I saw an attractive lady but as she got closer I could tell she was impeccably dressed. I admired how the black of her jacket closely matched the black of her bandage dress. That’s impressive considering they were two different brands and most likely two different fabrics. It would have been far to easier for her to choose a black bag. But instead she chose a dark brown bag (possibly to match her hair color). Coincidental perhaps, but a nice touch just the same!
As we started chatting she said I could photograph her on the condition that I don’t show her face. I hope you enjoy her outfit as much as I did!

Yeting’s brightly colored outfit caught my attention. She purchased it from a small boutique in China. I liked how her Aldo platform wedge heels matched the colors of her blue belt and orange Hermes bracelet. Just as we started chatting, three of her friends arrived. I had to work fast to capture four basic shots. She mentioned she’ll be moving to LA to enroll in a fashion design school. Naturally, I asked what designers/fashion houses inspire her. She mentioned Vera Wang, Burberry and Chanel.

Sara’s a Flight Attendant and she’s in town visiting family. We met as she was gift shopping. She wanted to buy her friends a gift before returning home.
