Sidewalk Style – Week 10 With Weymi

When Weymi entered the coffee shop I noticed her long legs, purse and scarf. However, her outfit was a bit of a mystery. At a first glance it looked like she was wearing a miniskirt. As we began chatting she mentioned she was wearing H&M shorts and a tank top underneath a jacket purchased in Taiwan. I like how she mixed a couple low end brands with a few high end brands. I also admired her bold color combination. Black and orange are rarely worn together because they are strongly associated with Halloween (and the BC Lions). However I imagine her brightly colored Hermes Birkin purse and scarf gave her the confidence to push the boundaries.

Sidewalk Styling With Alba – Week 13

When we met in January, Alba’s first outfit had a completely different look. Today we ended up at the same cafe by coincidence. She was with friends so I smiled and waved goodbye as I was leaving. An hour later we met by chance a second time. We chatted for a bit and I took a few photos. She mentioned she had two more outfits and she asked if we could meet the next day. Here’s the results. Three looks in two days!

Any Stylist, Personal Shopper or fashion website will recommend you build your wardrobe with few quality yet versitile pieces. Alba gives the perfect example of how that can be accomplished.

Eclectic Casual Her tailored blazer paired with a casual flow-y skirt was an interesting combination. Next her stockings exposed a little thigh and her croppped turtle neck blouse showed a bit of tummy. This was the first time I’ve seen a cropped turtle neck blouse!		Elegant Evening The same blazer when paired with an asymmetrical tank and skirt gives her appearance a completely different look. Notice how her pastel color bracelet and pastel color heels accent her outfit.		Dressy Casual The same asymmetrical tank blouse when worn with a one sleeve lace blouse has a much softer look. Incidentally, the quote on her scarf reads, “Live free with strong will.” – Comme des Garcons
