Carina, her little sister Katrina and mom just arrived downtown when we met. They travelled from Burnaby and planned to shop for the afternoon. I loved Carina’s beige color selection and the subtle color variations. I’m normally not a fan of scarves but I liked how it framed her face. I also like how her hair matched the color of her Louis Vuitton. With the exception of her purse her outfit was purchased in Taiwan.

Emma looked so sexy in her Valentino Rockstud pumps. She was flattered that I noticed. Both her and her boyfriend had charming Australian accents. Emma confessed she doesn’t normally dress-up but did so because it was Christmas Eve. Her inspiration was the cream color of her outfit.

When I chat with people on the street, nine times out of ten they tell me they’ve dressed for an occasion or an event. Typically it’s a birthday party or tea with a girlfriend. However, when I asked Glenda about her motivation, she said she dresses-up because she enjoys it. Wow, a true fashionista! Given the casual nature of Vancouver its rare treat to meet someone that’s not that’s not afraid to dress-up. Glenda gets ideas and inspiration from magazines. She’s also a fan of Pintrest.
I loved how the texture of the faux fur complemented her hair. The pink provided a pop of color. The lace-up pattern of her ankle boots were an eye catching detail. She bought them in Toronto.
Glenda’s outfit reads like a fashion Who’s Who but don’t let that stop you from expressing your inner diva.

Jennie just left church and was headed to the grocery store when I noticed her hairpiece. I asked about her outfit. She was inspired by coordinating light earth tone colors with her coat. I also noticed her socks. I like how the color complemented her tights and matched her boots. Incidentally, Jennie is a Marketing Researcher for a travel agency.

T-shirts are a bit casual for SidewalkRunway… Sara and I met as we were headed to work. I asked what inspired her outfit. She said she wanted something light and bright because the weather was so gloomy. After I took a couple photos I was amazed how comfortable she was in front of the camera. I asked if she had modeled and she said, “No, I’m just confident.”

It was 5:30pm and Silvia was buying a breakfast sandwich. She mentioned she works in the legal field and she was anticipating a long night at the office. In other words, she just bought herself dinner!
As we were chatting we both had a Deja vu moment. We realized we met in September during Vancouver Fashion Night Out! This time her skirt caught my attention. I love how she matched her black blouse to her patterned knitwear skirt. Random thought… Spaghetti straps are sooooo sexy!
